Our youth in 6th to 12th grade meet once a month on Saturdays from 5pm – 7pm. Check calendar for dates of events. We have a short Bible study and play games and hang out together growing in faith and relationships. We strive to provide a safe environment where youth can be themselves and fit into our group. For more information please contact our Youth Director, Tim Richter.
Every Wednesday when public school is in, we meet at church at 6pm for a family meal, and then from 6:30-7:30pm the youth meet with our pastor to learn more about our faith, our church, and what it means to truly follow Christ in all areas of our lives. This is a 2 year program, that starts in 7th grade, but includes older youth who are new to our church as well.
Gatherings and Retreats:
Every year our Florida-Georgia District hosts a middle and high school youth gathering. The middle school gathering is in November at Lake Yale Camp just outside of Leesburg, FL. It includes speakers, bands, breakouts, games, servant events, and other great activities for middle schoolers. The high school one is usually in February or March and is hosted in a hotel, and includes speakers, band, breakouts, servant events, dance, and fun activities in the hotel. Every 3 years we also have a National Gathering for high school youth. The next one will be in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2019.
Servant Events/Mission Trips:
Every year our youth participate in multiple service activities. Some occur at church and others are out in the community. They include helping with worship services, collections and drives for supplies for needy children and families, construction and neighborhood rehab projects like Habitat for Humanity, and outreach programs like our annual Trunk or Treat, Movie Night, Family Picnic, VBS, etc.
